Counting my blessings during the pandemic
I counted my blessings in April and May as I picked roses from the garden to grace my makeshift desk each day in ‘lockdown’. The heavenly scent filled the room as the blooms opened during the day and I reflected on how fortunate we have been in Australia during these scary Covid-19 times. Fortunate that our country has not been ravaged by pandemic as others still experiencing staggering numbers of infections and deaths are. It is still early days for this global virus, but for now I am smelling the roses and feeling grateful to have a job and comforted to know that my family, friends and colleagues are all well.
